CITY OF JOHNS CREEK

Johns Creek is located in northeastern Fulton County and is 27 miles to Atlanta. Johns Creek is Georgia’s ninth-largest city with more than 82,000 residents and became an incorporated city in 2006. It is one of the most sought-after communities due to its ideal centralized location with easy commuting distances from Atlanta and Buckhead and numerous office parks.

The city is known as the “Silicon Valley” of Atlanta, with numerous Fortune 500 companies located in its master-planned mixed-use Technology Park area. Over the years, this development has attracted many white-collar workers to move to Johns Creek. The city has one of the best public school systems in the state and access to a wide array of upscale dining, shopping, cultural and entertainment events. In addition, the Johns Creek Symphony Orchestra is the metro area’s only part-time, professional symphony orchestra and performs numerous times each year.

For those that enjoy the outdoors, Johns Creek offers numerous options. Six golf facilities call Johns Creek home, including the Atlanta Athletic Club, where golfers played the 2011 PGA Championship. More members of the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association (ALTA) live in Johns Creek than any other metro Atlanta community. The Chattahoochee River runs alongside Johns Creek for more than 13 miles, and there are plenty of spots for boating, fishing, and other water sports. There are also miles of hiking trails and areas for picnics.

CITY OF DULUTH

Duluth is another growing North Atlanta suburb reinventing itself with a sharp eye on maintaining its small-town charm and historical past. Located 27 miles from Atlanta, along the western border of Gwinnett County, Duluth’s motto is “Capture the Spirit of Good Living,” and due to its popularity, it seems to be working.

Over the past decade, Duluth has become the central business and entertainment hub of Gwinnett County. The Infinite Energy Center and the adjacent Performing Arts and Convention Center are state-of-the-art facilities that host professional hockey and top Hollywood entertainment year-round. Duluth offers an outstanding public school system and a choice of several luxury neighborhoods that complement the area. One of North Atlanta’s premier master-planned communities – Sugarloaf Country Club, sits along Duluth’s borders, and its Greg Norman designed TPC Golf Course hosts a stop on the PGA tour each year.
